In the upstairs office of the Malibu Club, on the left wall there is a large mural of palm trees tinted red by the setting sun, which is the same mural that adorns the office wall of Lopez Motors. The apartment where the chainsaw scene took place is featured (as Apartment 3c), along with the area known as Little Havana that was featured at the beginning of the film, and two nightclubs - The Malibu, and the Pole Position Club - are clones of two nightclubs in the film - The Babylon, and the Little Havana Club. The office of the Vercetti Estate mansion is very similar to Montana's office including the desk, decor and the bank of security monitors - which if the player stands in front of the monitors and looks at them through the sniper rifle scope, one can see that some of the images displayed is that of the main room in Montana's mansion, featuring the sweeping staircase, the 'The World Is Yours' statue, and the small pool. Shares a similar plot: an ex-convict leaves a place he doesn't want to be (Cuba/prison) and moves to Miami (which Vice City is based on), wears flowery shirts, and begins to take over the city killing his former boss in the process (Lopez/Diaz), with a chaotic ending battle (which one survives, the other doesn't).
